Developing Roots (Pre-K to Kindergarten)

Developing Roots is our early learning program that sets the stage for mathematical success. It was created by teachers for teachers to address the most common concerns at the early elementary level. The program emphasizes:

Engaging Activities

Interactive and fun tasks that stimulate young minds. Tasks are differentiated to meet the needs of all student levels and provide an exploratory hands-on, center-based approach to learning mathematics.

Conceptual Understanding

Focus on understanding core mathematical concepts rather than rote learning. A comprehensive spiral curriculum allows for continuous exposure to concepts throughout the year.

Play-Based Learning

Activities are designed to be enjoyable and educational, fostering a love for math. Games are developed to connect the classroom and home.

think!Mathematics (Grades 1-5)

think!Mathematics is a comprehensive program based on the successful methods used in Singapore, co-written by our founder Sarah Schaefer and Director of Curriculum and Professional Development, Dr. Yeap Ban Har. It emphasizes:

Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract Approach

This approach, based on Jerome Bruner’s research, helps students understand mathematical concepts deeply by moving from hands-on activities to visual representations and abstract thinking.
